Acquios Advisors and Anagram discuss unplugging from vision plans

Our Head of Partnerships, Steve Alexander, joined Acquios Advisors CEO and Advisor Rick Guinotte to talk finding freedom from vision plans.

In 2021 more eye care providers are looking at their practices and businesses and asking: What does my Viewtopia look like and how do I build it?

First off: Viewtopia? That's what we call your ideal practice. The place where you choose the prices, you choose the eyewear, you choose the patients, you choose the standard of care; basically what it looks like when you reclaim control from vision plans. If you're in-network, then vision plans are supposed to be your key to practice success. You're contracted to charge a certain amount and in return they send you patients while requiring that you adhere to their rules, preferred vendors and processes as a part of the deal.

Often ECPs are left wondering whether that's a good deal at all.

With this in mind, Anagram's Head of Partnerships Steve Alexander joined Acquios Advisors CEO and Advisor Rick Guinotte for a discussion on how ECPs can find freedom from vision plans.

In the webinar Rick and Steve begin by going over how to plan for dropping vision plans. From there, over the course of the hour, they cover a number of topics that are essential to going out-of-network including:

  • Implementing your plan to go out-of-network.
  • How to keep existing patients and acquire new ones.
  • How to price materials and services out-of-network.
  • Starting a new practice without vision plans.
  • Whether you should stay in-network with any plans.
  • And more!

With plenty of industry expertise between them, Rick and Steve's discussion is a must-listen for any ECP considering dropping one-or-more vision plans.
